Merino has unique properties to retain heat, efficiently wicking away excess moisture. It dries quickly, creates a pleasant touch to the skin, as it continues to keep you warm even when the garment is wet, and thanks to the natural antibacterial properties of this material, it does not retain unpleasant odors. When choosing your base layer, it is important that it is tight enough to be in constant contact with your skin (like a second skin), but also elastic and loose enough not to restrict your movements. Another key consideration when choosing the right underlay is the density you're looking for. With us, you will find a wide range of models with different densities: from 235 g/sq.m (suitable for mountain expeditions in very cold weather) to 150 g/sq.m (suitable for protection from the sun's rays during summer walks). Despite the fine mesh, where the thickness of the fiber does not reach the threshold for the activation of skin receptors, some customers prefer even finer and softer fabrics - if this is the case for you - you can look into our two-layer models, where the inner layer has synthetic impurities.
