Bivy tents

Bivy tents

At CampingRocks you can find several different types of bivy tents. The name comes from bivouac, or in other words the bivy tent is an extremely lightweight type of tent that does not have an entire structure of poles, but only a flysheet that protects you from getting wet, wind and insects. It is recommended to use the bivy tent in combination with a sleeping bag and sleeping mat, because it does not have additional insulation. It is standardly used in treks where extremely light equipment is a must (e.g. Kom-Emine trek), or as a safety part in the equipment if there is a chance of setting up a bivouac before the end point you are aiming for. Оur brands that offer bivy tents  are Robens, Nomad and Outdoor Research, all models are super lightweight and offer water protection between 6 and 10,000 mm hydrostatic head. It is important to keep in mind that due to their single-layer construction, despite the ventilation system of holes, at large temperature amplitudes the formation of condensation is possible. The weight of the bivy tents offered by us varies between 240 and 500 g, with the heavier models offering extras such as, for example, the presence of mosquito nets and a wider interior space.
