Natural down is one of the most efficient insulation materials used by leading manufacturers of outdoor clothing and equipment. Down has unique properties in terms of warmth, weight, and comfort. Therefore, it is extremely important to handle clothes or sleeping bags with down insulation with care and delicacy when washing them. Standard detergents may leave chemical residues that, over time, reduce the garments' ability to insulate or repel water. Grangers Down Wash has been developed to provide effective cleaning without harming the qualities of the down.
Grangers Down Wash detergent is ideal for cleaning down jackets and sleeping bags with natural down filling, as well as clothes and sleeping bags with synthetic insulation. This detergent gently cleans the filling and outer layer of the garment or bag, restores the down's ability to "loft" (fill volume), and helps maintain the fabric's breathability. The detergent ensures effective cleaning even at low temperatures (30°C), which is the recommended temperature for washing high-performance clothing and items with down filling.
The kit includes three special dryer balls to help fluff the down in the dryer, which can be used for up to 1000 drying cycles.

- Use one cap (25 ml) per wash load, or half a cap for hand washing. For sleeping bags, use two caps
