The Comet has a freestanding structure, meaning that the inner bedroom attaches directly to the outer structure, which allows when the weather is warm and you do not expect rain, to not use the flysheet and camp only in the bedroom - ventilated and protected from insects. If you use Comet with the outer canvas, the tent offers good ventilation by adding a mesh panel at the entrance and ventilation panels at the top.
