Alto Tr2 Plus is a two-person tent for enthusiasts of ultralightweight and outdoor adventures by the Australian brand Sea to Summit. Perfect for cycling trips and trekking, it combines compactness, weighing only 1458 grams, and spacious interior.

In this model, the manufacturers focus on maximum functionality – no detail is superfluous, and each element is intended to fulfill more than one function. An advantage of Alto Tr2 is the ability to be distributed practically between two people. For this purpose, the tent arrives in two compression stuff sacks, which can be connected together or separated between two individuals. When assembled, the two stuff sacks transform into storage pockets for personal belongings. Additionally, the carrying bag for the tent poles also serves a dual purpose – it attaches to the ceiling over the light source, providing a soft and even shade of light.

Alto provides a perfect balance between lightweight and comfortable design, with all necessary extras and spacious interior. Its semi-freestanding construction is composed of interconnected DAC Japanese aluminum poles, which are ultralight, exceptionally durable, and manufactured with minimal chemicals and water compared to similar constructions. Architecturally refined with the assistance of Jake Lah (the creator of DAC), Alto Tr2 Plus includes the patented Tension Ridge system, which achieves additional internal volume and height in the sleeping area, higher doors, and even more efficient air circulation compared to similar tent models from other manufacturers.

Although it's designed as a three-season tent, the Alto Tr2 Plus utilizes high-quality materials to ensure protection against inclement weather. It features YKK zippers, aluminum poles, and a laminated polyurethane flysheet with taped seams. The poles of the Alto are top-of-the-line ultralight DAC NSL poles made from anodized aluminum, designed for quick and easy assembly, providing stability and durability even in windy conditions.

The tent includes a separate nylon sleeping area instead of mesh, preventing cold air from entering the interior. The materials provide waterproofing, with the floor offering a hydrostatic head of 2500 mm and the flysheet offering 1200 mm. Additionally, the Alto Tr2 Plus features ventilation openings that allow you to control airflow and humidity to prevent condensation.

Extremely multifunctional, the Alto Tr2 Plus can be used in several different ways depending on your preferences. It can function as a traditional tent or simply as a mesh shelter by rolling back the flysheet and fully exposing the sleeping area. Designers at Sea to Summit have also considered the possibility of converting it into a tarp shelter. By using only the flysheet and with the help of trekking poles (not included in the package), you can elevate it from one side and turn it into a shelter for protection against adverse weather conditions.
