The new Magma series by Bergans of Norway consists of multi-functional and thermal insulating jackets and vests designed for hiking and everyday use. These lightweight and comfortable garments, filled with recycled down, have excellent insulating properties as well as a wind and water resistant outer fabric to ensure protection during the cold winter months. Тhe difference between the Magma and Lava series is that Magma feature an even higher performance goose down that has a fill power of 700+ cuin. According to the EN12130 standard for down filling power in cubic inches, a power of 650 + is classified as the highest quality down and is used for filling in expedition travel equipment.
The Magma Light Down Vest is a lightweight functional vest with many details that can be worn alone or as thermal insulation. High-quality, 100% recycled down (90/10 RE:Down, 700 cuin, 60 g/m²) ensure good insulating properties and also demonstrate that sustainability played a major role in development. The same applies to the windproof outside material made from recycled polyamide, which has a PFAS-free water-repellent finish. The model features a high collar that protects your chest and neck and with an extended back for maximum protection of the waist.
The Magma Light Down Vest is an extremely light and compressible vest with one of the outer pockets also serving as a compression pocket. The two-way zipper and side pockets that do not interfere with use with the hip belt of the backpack complete the functionality of this Bergans jacket model. For your more personal valuables, you can use a zip pocket on the chest.
