When developing functional shell clothing for ski touring, it is important to find the intersection between low weight, weather protection and ventilation on the one hand, and durability and details on the other. Bergans has chieved this goal with the Senja 3L Jacket!
The serious experience of the Norwegians in the development of protective and practical clothing for ski touring as well as the remarkable 3-layer Dermizax NX material used on the Senja 3L jacket is what makes it so special. The fabric is is soft and light. Nevertheless, you can feel the robustness that is required to withstand years of intensive use. In terms of weather protection and moisture transport, the material is at the top. (Water column = at least 20,000 mm / moisture transport = over 40,000 g / m2 / 24 hours).
The well thought out details really make this a great option for anybody who wants to be active in the mountains. In the middle of a steep mountain slope, you might want a jacket with maximum ventilation. For this reason Bergans has equipped the Senja 3L Jacket with long ventilation zippers under the armpits and a 2-way zipper on the front. The extra high collar offers good wind and snow protection for the neck and chin area, while the helmet-compatible hood can be easily adjusted so that optimal visibility is guaranteed at all times. To increase your comfort, the Senja 3L jacket has a neck and chin protection with a moisture-absorbing and quick-drying material. Designed to allow the use of a insulating layer underneath (down/synthetics), the Senja 3L jacket has an optimal fit and has great stretch for maximum freedome of movement.
