Nitecore belongs to the SYSMAX organization, which is focused on the development of new LED technologies. Nitecore and NiteLab jointly create the UHi LED series - specially developed for flashlights and spotlights. UHi products use high beam intensities and increase light density by increasing the light emitting surface (LES). Thus, an optimal light effect and a greater range of illumination is achieved. UHi LEDs offer a new generation of light sources that are about to completely take over the headlamp and flashlight market for both professional and conventional use. The MT2A Pro flashlight is part of the brand's UHi 20 series (20 W maximum power). This series features an ultra-minimalist design with an illumination area of only 2.26 mm2 (41% smaller than that of ordinary LED floodlights, which have an average area of 3.83 mm2) while offering a density of 876 lumens/mm2, which is 43% greater density than ordinary LED floodlights, which reach an average of only 611 lumens/mm2. Thus, Uhi products provide a much more powerful and concentrated light compared to other products of the same or similar intensity.

The maximum intensity of the MT2A Pro is 1000 lumens when used with AA batteries, making it the strongest AA battery-powered floodlight on the market (its predecessor reached an intensity of 345 lumens). This also affects the range it covers – 255 meters (compared to 152 meters in previous models).

You have 2 battery options: NL1416R lithium-ion battery, which you can charge via USB-C port, or 2 AA alkaline batteries. With the lithium-ion NL1416R battery, the MT2A Pro can last up to 20 hours at 50 lumens.

This brand model is extremely compact and convenient to carry and store. The surface is precisely made with CNC machines (Computer Numerical Control) and uses an anti-slip coating so that it is not difficult to use it with sweaty and wet palms or with gloves. 3D CNC engineering technologies provide a manufacturing process where pre-programmed software controls the movement of each tool so the end result is accurate down to the last micron. ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation) controls the operation of the projector depending on the external conditions to achieve an optimal operating mode.

Using MT2A Pro is made easy with the main functions performed by one button. With a full press, you turn on and off, and with a half-press, you can change the brightness mode. The floodlight is very robust with an IP68 rating – it can be submerged up to 2m under water and is shock-resistant when dropped up to 1m.

When using the NL1416R Li-ion battery, the MT2A Pro has 3 operating modes: high, medium and low. The powerful reaches 1000 lumens with a range of 255 m and can operate for up to 1 h 30 min. The medium has a light intensity of 300 lumens with a range of 148 m (up to 2 h 45 min), and the weakest provides 50 lumens with duration of 20 h (range of 58 m).
