The Mont Blanc 2.0 GTX is one of the most technical models of the Austrian brand Dachstein for mountaineering, winter mountaineering and trekking at high altitude. It is compatible with automatic crampons (full automatic) and is suitable for challenging alpine routes on rock, snow and ice.
The construction gives great stability to the shoes, which are both firm and comfortable, and provide effective thermal insulation. The right shoe has a built-in RECCO reflector in case of an accident.
The Mont Blanc 2.0 GTX have a Vibram® Mulaz Evo sole that features a profile that both provides good traction in snow and prevents snow, mud and stones from getting stuck in the grip. The model is equipped with a waterproof Gore-Tex membrane that provides a good balance between moisture protection and breathability, as the specific type of Gore-Tex is chosen for use in cold, winter weather. The outer fabric is a combination of Perwanger® leather and Cordura mesh. Perwanger leather dates back to 1780 in the Italian Alps, where the Perwanger family began processing leather for farmers and hunters. This type of leather is used only in high-tech products designed for mountain sports on demanding terrain and in difficult climatic conditions, as it is treated in such a way as to provide both comfort and excellent breathability, combined with quality water resistance. In the upper part there is a neoprene sock that does not allow the penetration of snow.
