Outwell Westwood 5 Person family tent

Introducing the five-person Westwood 5 tent from the Danish camping equipment specialists Outwell. With a tunnel construction forming three separate compartments - a covered porch with doors, a high and spacious living area, and two comfortable sleeping rooms that you can combine into one, the Westwood 5 tent is well-ventilated and has excellent technical features, making it suitable for both seaside and mountain camping.

The Westwood's tunnel construction is composed of Duratec fiberglass poles wrapped in polyester tape for added durability. The main fabric is Outwell Select - a densely woven polyester taffeta with excellent waterproof characteristics (4000mm water column) and breathability to prevent condensation inside. The tent's porch is spacious enough not only for luggage storage or use as a wet room but also for setting up folding camping furniture, coolers, and gas stoves, turning it into a kitchen. The external entrance to the porch consists of 2 wings that can be opened/closed together or separately. The internal entrance to the porch (leading to the living area) is also double-winged, including mosquito nets on each wing that can be opened as desired, thanks to added curtains with zippers. The internal entrance features the Quick & Quiet system, allowing you to enter/exit with a single motion through the door. Built-in magnets in the corners of the two wings attract each other, automatically closing the entrance after passing through. A zipper is also added between the two wings of the entrance in case you prefer not to use the Quick & Quiet system and want to use the traditional zipper opening/closing method. Tinted panoramic windows with covers are placed on all sides of the porch, allowing light to enter as desired and providing sufficient privacy.

The living area of the Westwood 5 is spacious and tall enough for you to walk freely without touching the ceiling. For letting extra light inside the room there are panoramic tinted windows with curtains. A side entrance for quick entry/exit and a full mosquito net for additional ventilation without the risk of insects entering are added to the living area. The floor is directly sewn to the main fabric of the tent, ensuring complete protection from weather conditions and insects. The living area is spacious enough to accommodate a folding camping table, folding chairs, and folding cabinets, creating a cozy atmosphere during camping vacations. In case you use folding furniture, it is recommended to place a tent carpet to avoid damaging the floor and provide additional comfort and insulation.

The bedrooms are two, located in a separate room with two entrances and a divider between them. They can accommodate a total of five person and are called Premier Bedroom because they offer extra height and dimensions, as well as darkened walls and roof for a peaceful sleep at any time of the day. They can be joined or detached for cleaning, as the inventors of the Westwood 5 have decided to install them factory-fitted to make it easier and save time when setting up the tent. Magnetic strips (Quick & Quiet system) are added to the doors of the sleeping quarters for easy, quick, and noiseless opening and closing (there is also the option to close them with zippers). The bedrooms have their own floor to create a double-layer insulation in this part of the tent, and a large mesh ventilation opening is integrated into the rear part, which you can keep open or closed.

To ensure optimal air circulation inside the tent, in addition to the entrances with mosquito nets, additional ventilation openings are provided under the panoramic windows in the living area, partial mosquito nets at the top of the doors of the bedrooms, and a large ventilation opening in the rear part of the sleeping rooms.

The Outwell Westwood 5 also includes a specially added sleeve for hanging lights, as well as pockets for storing personal items and valuables, a dedicated cable entrance, points for hanging lanterns, pockets, etc. Setting up and securing the Outwell Greenwood 5 tent takes no more than 25-30 minutes, and its inventors at Outwell have included a sturdy storage and transportation bag, as well as pegs and guylines for its stable securing.
