The outer fabric is made of 100% polyamide with a water-repellent finish (PFAS-free), providing protection in bad weather and resisting light moisture – in case of rain, the jacket should be paired with a hardshell or rain jacket. The synthetic insulation used in this model from the Norwegian brand is PrimaLoft® Black ECO rise with a density of 133 g/m².

PrimaLoft® is made by weaving hydrophobic polyester microfibers together, which are arranged in flat layers. A synthetic bonding agent is then added, and during heat processing, it “fuses” the layers into a combined structure that traps air pockets. When the insulation gets wet, these pockets don’t collapse like down, because their hydrophobic nature repels water and prevents moisture absorption. This makes PrimaLoft® a highly preferred insulation for mountain gear and situations where wet, rainy, or snowy conditions are expected.
