The men's hiking shoes SF Trek LC by the Austrian brand Dachstein introduce numerous innovations to the brand's bestseller, the SF-21 hiking shoes – one of the most sought-after models at CampingRocks. With their unique design and combination of materials, SF Trek LC won an award at the ISPO 2023 international outdoor equipment trade fair.

The SF Trek LC are low-cut three-season shoes, equally comfortable for light hikes and technical sections in higher mountain areas. A major focus has been placed on the design of the sole, which features the so-called HIKEPLATE – a special axis made of remelted thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) between the inner and outer sole, providing excellent stability and full control over every movement.

The outer part of the sole uses a rubber compound with very high traction in a tread pattern with a well-defined profile that doesn't trap mud or sand. The result is a sole with great grip on wet terrain and mud, allowing you to cover many kilometers without concern. The midsole uses EVA foam for effective cushioning without completely isolating you from the ground, giving you more confidence, even on difficult terrain.

The men's hiking shoes SF Trek LC do not have a waterproof membrane, but they perform very well in wet terrain thanks to the outer ripstop textile mesh material with a water-repellent coating. The lack of a membrane makes the shoes lighter and more breathable for the warmer part of the year, and in case they get wet, they dry very quickly.

In the ankle area, the SF Trek LC shoes use an elastic fabric with a water-repellent finish, making them very comfortable, easy to put on, and eliminating the need for external gaiters to prevent small stones, dirt, and dew from entering the shoe.
