The Icebug Adak ReWool NT is a premium model from the Swedish brand’s winter collection. The predecessor of this Icebug model is the Adak ReWool Michelin, which became a bestseller at CampingRocks. The difference between the two models is that in the new version, the Swedish brand uses an innovative Nordic Traction outsole instead of Michelin rubber. Icebug’s Nordic Traction outsole is the result of over 20 years of technological advancement in high-performance rubber compounds. It is designed specifically for Scandinavian winter conditions, providing the highest and most reliable grip, giving you stability on wet, slippery, and challenging terrain even at subzero temperatures.

The model features a high boot profile, with the main material being DriTan oiled nubuck leather, lined on the inside with soft, pleasant-to-the-touch fleece. Around the ankle area, the Adak ReWool incorporates stylish recycled wool with a water-repellent treatment. Foot warmth is provided by synthetic Primaloft Bio insulation. Primaloft is the leading synthetic insulation on the market, effectively mimicking down while offering superior moisture resistance, and its Primaloft Bio variant is the first synthetic insulation that fully decomposes within two years without leaving any environmental footprint. Waterproofing is ensured by the BUGdri membrane, made from 50% GRS-certified (Global Recycled Standard) recycled polyester.

This Icebug model will particularly appeal to fans of extra cushioning, as it includes a highly effective EVA midsole that reduces landing stress and provides additional propulsion with every step. This midsole contains 20% BLOOM foam derived from algae, which are harmful to oceans, yet allow the production of foam with the same shock-absorbing and lightweight properties as EVA, without the environmental drawbacks of traditional EVA, which is hard to recycle and decomposes slowly. The insole also uses BLOOM EVA foam combined with Woolpower recycled merino wool, which acts antibacterially and prevents the retention of unpleasant odors.
